 10.45 – Existing approaches to adult education  in entrepreneurship in IE – ETB (Education Training Board) (15 mins) Teresa O’Sullivan – Teresa will give a presentation on existing adult education programmes with examples of best practice and identify any existing gaps in the programmes.

 11.00 – Existing supports and services available  in Ireland – Niall O’Keefe – Local Enterprise Office Cork  (15 mins)

11.30 – Morning Presentations

  • 1 (20 mins) Elke O’Mahony What is the difference between natural skills and skills we can learn? We are exploring how to identify our natural skills and what basic core skills are needed when starting the journey into entrepreneurship and how to bridge the gap.
  •  2 (20 mins) Marie Taylor  (TUS) – EMWOSE (women from ethnic minorities in social enterprise)
  •  3 (20 mins) Nuala White – GROWING CONVERSATIONS – Cork project (Irish and non national participants work together facilitating greater social inclusion) Nuala will look at target group, strengths and AFI’s with an emphasis on social adjustment

13.15  –  Afternoon Workshops will take place in the same space as the main conference. 

  •  Workshop 1 – Elke O’Mahony will share an innovative approach to self assessment  for Vocational Guidance looking at how we can assess our strengths and weaknesses when starting a business? In this workshop, discover a model which can be used to discover what skills you have and what skills you need to start your entrepreneurial journey.
  •          Workshop 2 –  Toluwani Akaehomen: Capturing/maximising immigrant entrepreneurs’ human capital value, Integration & Social Inclusion viewed from an immigrant entrepreneur’s lens and Inclusive entrepreneurship – an approach and an outcome
