ItalyItalian national policy brief
This policy brief focuses on the insights gained during the Italian international conferences held in Rome on 28th of September 2022 under the umbrella of the EU Erasmus+ KA3 project SIATE, which involves fives countries: Denmark, Italy, Germany, Ireland, and Norway.
During the conference, experts and entrepreneurs in social and community enterprises, community empowerment and social economy presented their stories and their research experiences in the context of entrepreneurship education and within the topic of the conference: “Social innovation practices that develop inclusive learning contexts”.
As a result, the conference highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation for adult education and the importance of investing in soft skills in adult education to reduce fragility and marginalisation.
In addition, it is crucial to implement means and strategies to assess and improve the entrepreneurial skills of students in vulnerable positions, to invest in continuous professional development of educators and in their entrepreneurial skills and competencies, and to engage young people in policy-making, thus recognising their unique insights, experiences and perspectives.
